If you're a casual gamer just move along right now. This ain't your game lol. It'll make you rip your hair out. As for my hardcore gamers, let's get into it shall we.After not playing a NG game since the NES, I was more than excited to play NG3: RE on the Wii U. There's just one tiny bit I wasn't prepared for....the difficulty level. Yes friends, NG is a true "gamer's" game. It's unforgiving in battle, but lets you know it still cares with infinite checkpoint respawns. Don't think for a second that just because you can keep respawning to your checkpoint you won't get tired...of dying, or that the game's somehow because of it. The game will drive you MAD unless you play on the easiest setting, which I haven't tried, cuz I ain't no b**** man lol. The difficulty rating for this game goes like this when compared to the normal standard:Easy in NG = Normal in real lifeNormal in NG = Hard in real lifeHard in NG = May cause stress, depression, isolation, insomnia, loss of appetite, high blood pressure, stroke & heart failure. Please check with your doctor before making sure that Hard Mode in NG is right for you.If you love a challenge, & love to feeling of mastering your craft. This game is for you. I see people saying the battles are repetitive. This is not true. I'm the one who has to keep repeating myself. I reviewed Muramasa The Demon for the Wii on my other Amazon account. GREAT game, check it out if you haven't. People called that game repetitive in battle too but that was untrue. It's just that most people button mash & just move forward because they're no good. In game like these you have to make your own experience. There are countless numbers of button combination to explore. So much so that I doubt anyone can remember all of them. Levelling up weapons, Ninpo & finding new weapons vastly increases your fighting CAPABILITIES. Notice I used the word "capable". Because you are "capable" of doing a lot in this game, but the majority of the masses will lazily use one or two combos to complete the entire game then complain about how they're boring *cough* I mean the game is boring :)The controls are tight and responsive. If you're good at playing fighters you'll have a much easier time with this game as speed & timing are key to your success in this game. Most times you're vastly outnumbered by close range, AND long distance enemies all at once. Blocking, dodging & countering skills are imperative. Most times even though you have space you'll feel squeezed under the attacks. The graphics in the game so-so. It looks like an early last gen game. The character designs are GREAT. Really sharp, high textured, & detailed. They stand out from the background, which most times isn't too great. The scenery is nowhere as good looking as the characters in terms of design but it doesn't matter as any one standing around looking at scenery in this game won't have a head for very long. What I didn't like about the graphics though is that most of it just filler. Static backgrounds that can't access, touch or even move around. It looks like part of the area but there are invisible walls preventing you from going anywhere other than where you have to go, & where you've been, so its kinda hard to get lost. For me it feels a bit too linear. Though beat 'em ups generally are, for a 3D environment it's a little disappointing on a next gen system. I should point out that the game itself is actually last gen though so I guess it can't be helped. The music & voice acting is SOLID. I enjoyed it. The story is pretty decent as well. I won't give away any spoilers, but if you're into stuff like the illuminati & european secret societies trying to take over the world, & you think that stopping them with a Ninja is a good idea, you'll like this game's story. I should also mention that after dying enough times, the games asks you if you want to change the difficulty while in-game. It only works between Easy & Normal difficulty though, & is not possible if you selected to play the game on the hardest. It's a great feature, if you're a chump :)All in all it's a great experience, but for adults. I wouldn't recommend this game for kids. The level of profanity is HIGH. EVERYONE you fight cusses lol, the level of blood, screams & gore shoots through the roof, not to mention the skimpy dressed female characters with the "goods" that us adult gamers enjoy. Put the kids to bed before putting on this one, cuz you'll be cussing yourself after playing certain battles lol. Hardcore Wii U gamers should get this.I've never played a Ninja Gaiden game before so this was actually my first. Before hand what I knew was that the series had a reputation for teeth grinding difficulty. Not being one for hack n slash games I still ended up ordering it given the lack of games on the Wii U at the moment. After I got it I later learned that is actually a more recent edition of an older Ninja Gaiden 3, which was apparently an abysmal game. I was a little put off by that but was able to relax a bit with the knowledge that this version is apparently a lot better. Though I can't compare and contrast since I haven't tried the original third game.So right off that bat you are introduced to Hayabusa, a veteran ninja who seems most at peace when he is slicing apart hordes of faceless enemies. Working with the JSDF or basically Japanese military, he goes on the hunt against a terrorist organization that threatens global stability. The story really isn't the strong point as it's plot and characters come across as very over the top bordering on outright cheese. Something that the Wii U version offered that the originals didn't though were side missions where you could play as another character who some may recognize from DOA.Sadly the tablet is given inventory duty again but I don't think there was much else they could have done with the tablet anyways. At times it pretty convenient to simply swipe to a different weapon set but it seems thats all the Wii U tablet is given. Otherwise the controls are you standard hack n slash, you've got your faster light attacks and slower heavier attacks. You earn points for the amount kills and combos that you pull off and can use these to upgrade Hayabusa for things such as better health, more combos, etc etc. Graphically the game looks great. There is a real depth to it with a nice smooth frame rate that doesn't seem to drop even when things get very hectic. It complements the game play very well since a man cutting apart a battle tank should naturally just look spectacular. It also very violent with enormous amounts of gore to the point where Hayabusa himself will be drenched red.The game play itself is fun in a God of War way meaning that it's absolutely ridiculous. In the first part you probably cut down about 30 or so terrorists in one sitting. Since it's a Japanese game it also naturally has Hayabusa carving apart battle suits and dinosaurs with his trusty katana. Aside from those, your mostly cutting through hordes of balaclava wearing terrorists who are thick enough to think they can take on Hayabusa with a bayonet despite just seeing him tear apart an Apache gunship as though it was made of tin foil. All grandiose aside, this game is HARD. I usually like to tackle games on their hardest available difficulty first but I had to rage-quit on more than one bit in this one. It got to the point where I ended up bringing the difficulty down just I can manage and even then there were parts (especially boss fights) that were impossible. In conclusionThe Good,-Good hack n slash game play, controls nice with a good distance for dodging (which you may mostly be doing)-Very over the top and violent, like a lot of other hack n slash games the novelty is part of the charm-Looks great with wide backgrounds and plenty going on in the foreground where the action is atThe Bad,-The story is not going to win any awards anytime soon but it doesn't put me off in any wayI never played the ninja Gaiden séries before but i just started playing this one on the highest difficulty and it's a b ??? Finished it though in 2 days, now to play it on easy so how much more easier it is ?Trop bon se jeux j’ai commencé à jouer pis j’ai u du fun pis la difficulté élevée j’ai commencé à galèré dans le pont casser avec du feux pis la j’ai faite quoi je tombe et je re tombe et j’ai plus de concentration pis j’ai réussi pis après sa j’ai manquer faire un rage quit pis j’ai réussi a me faire confiance pis j’ai réussi l’avoir le boss final pis la fin et triste pis je vien comprend pourquoi il n’a plus de ninja gaiden fin de mon histoire pis je donne un note 20/20This game kicks butt. It is possibly the bloodiest game on the Wii u. If you like the classic hack and slash button masher from the ps1/ps2 days, you will love ninja garden. If you are looking for a compelling story with realistic action, Is is NOT your game. Ninja Gaiden is obsurdly over the top, and it is pretty much about how many limbs can you cut off in a general combo and fighting the biggest craziest monsters/cyborgs/machines/vehicles.Llegó súper bien y rápido, me está gustando bastante el juego es muy bueno, es el primero que juego de la saga y estoy muy contento. One of the best action games on wii u even if it's ninja gaiden 3 basicallyEl juego llegó bien protegido y sellado perfecto para mantenerlo así para la colección
